Care @ Home Monitoring

Environment, Safety and Security

Care at Home has become vital to the care industry; the National Health Service; the economies of both national and local government and most important of all, individuals themselves.
The ageing population has increased dramatically, the numbers of individuals who are being cared for in their own homes, adding to the numbers already requiring this service due to disabilities, both physical and mental.
The use of modern technology is playing an ever increasing role in improving the services which can be delivered by a combination of short-term visits and distant monitoring. Significantly, a consortium led by the government and the Alzheimer’s Society have challenged the industry to come up with additional high-tech solutions which will enable the increasing number of people with Dementia to continue living independently for longer. In addition to the positive economic effect, this delays the condition, enabling those with the symptoms to retain independence for longer.
Following the 18th-century challenge to improve accurate time telling at sea, the Longitude Dementia scheme is offering a top prize of £1 million for the most successful solution.
SenseMON already have systems designed to make the lives of people with Dementia and their carers, safer and more enjoyable. Furthermore, by improving the safety and efficiency of the building they will reduce the running costs.

Environment, Safety and Security systems will carry out monitoring and notification of things such as door and window opening and closing; occupancy and presence detection; heat detection; air quality; light level; leak detection; enabling all of these to be checked on remotely both in real time and by continued monitoring, including provision of reports and trends. Alerts can be produced which can be adjusted to suit the requirements of both the occupier, the carers and relatives of the occupants.
We have both standard packages plus bespoke systems, tailored to the specific requirements of the client.

Care at Home has become vital to the care industry and the economy greatest example of this is Dementia. It is now clear that keeping the aging population and dementia patients in their own homes longer, allows them a better quality and standard of life.
